In July, the 400-space parking lot at Ahtri 3 closed its gates. It was one of the biggest in the area, popular with both local employees and short-term visitors. To keep parking in the city center easy and convenient, Snabb has now introduced a new parking system at the Hobujaama tn 12 parking lot. From August, you can pay there using the Snabb app or by SMS. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hobujaama tn 12 parking lot used to have barriers, and you could only get in with a mobile call or a ticket from the machine. But that system wasn\u2019t the most user-friendly. Snabb\u2019s CEO Kustas K\u00f5iv says removing barriers is becoming the norm: \u201cOver the years we\u2019ve taken down barriers in several of our lots. This approach is more convenient and welcoming for customers. Plus, the numbers speak for themselves \u2013 turnover has gone up by about 30\u201350% after removing barriers<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The car park is also equipped with license plate recognition cameras,<\/strong> making parking even easier. When your car number is recognised, the Snabb app opens automatically and parking can be confirmed with just one click. More updates are coming this autumn. If someone forgets to pay before leaving, they will receive an invoice by email instead of a fine. \u201cWe want people to leave with a positive emotion. Everyone forgets sometimes, and this way you can still settle your parking later without getting a ticket,\u201d K\u00f5iv explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snabb will keep investing in smart solutions like this to make city center parking smoother and more transparent. \u201cWe believe invisible tech and smart systems make moving around the city a better experience for both locals and visitors,\u201d K\u00f5iv adds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
